CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
The primary blood marker for systemic inflammation.
What it is
CRP is a protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation. It rises quickly (within hours) in response to infection, injury, or chronic inflammatory conditions.
Why it matters
Tracking CRP over time tells you whether your lifestyle interventions are actually reducing inflammation. In oncology, elevated CRP is associated with worse prognosis and treatment tolerance. Watching it trend down is meaningful.
How to test
Standard blood panel. Specify high-sensitivity CRP (hsCRP) for more precise readings at lower levels.
This information is for educational purposes only. Always discuss testing and interpretation of results with your care team.

1.0–3.0 mg/L
