Blood Count Β· %

Neutrophils (NEUT%)

Neutrophils as a percentage of total white blood cells.

What it is

The neutrophil percentage shows what fraction of white blood cells are neutrophils. Normal is 50–70%. Used alongside the absolute count and lymphocyte percentage to calculate key ratios like NLR.

Why it matters

A rising neutrophil percentage with falling lymphocytes β€” even with total WBC in range β€” is a sign of physiological stress and immune dysregulation. In oncology, the NLR (neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio) is a clinically used prognostic marker.
